IBM Token-Ring Network Adapter Series (Shared RAM)

UnixWare 7 supports these IBM Token-Ring Shared RAM adapters

• IBM Turbo ISA Adapter

• IBM Auto 16/4 ISA Adapter

• IBM 16/4 ISA Adapter

• IBM Token-Ring Network 16/4 Adapter/A

• IBM Token-Ring Network Adapter/A

To configure the adapter, first run the LANAID diskette that comes with the adapter and configure it with the appropriate settings of IRQ, IOAddr, RAM Addr, ROM Addr, Data rate, among others.

Then start Gemini and run the Network Configuration Manager. The adapter is not found automatically. To configure the adapter driver you will be asked to select:

• Network topology
  select token ring

• Network Adapter
  select the adapter from the list

Select the following parameters according to the values set by LANAID:

• Interrupt vectors

• I/O base address

• Shared RAM address

• Maximum frame size

• Full Duplex mode - for Turbo ISA adapter

• Shared mode - for Turbo ISA adapter
