encrypt_config [ -q ]
encrypt_config [ -r ] [ -n ] [ package ... ]
The encrypt_config command is used to identify and reset certain packages that contain separate binaries for use with and without a Strong Encryption license. Under normal circumstances, encrypt_config is run automatically by the SCO Strong Encryption Supplement installation and removal scripts and does not need to be run manually by the system administrator. However, it may need to be run manually if a problem occurs with the filesystem links to the binaries or if the Strong Encryption license is added or removed with the SCOadmin License Manager, rather than by adding or removing the Strong Encryption Supplement product.
encrypt_config adjusts filesystem links to the binaries so that the packages are aligned properly with the licensed or unlicensed state of the system. encrypt_config also tries to restart any servers associated with the package.
If no packages are listed explicitly on the command line, encrypt_config searches for all packages installed on the system that implement this behavior.
The following options are available:
To show the current state of Strong Encryption licensing on the system:
encrypt_config -q
To list all packages on the system that contain Strong Encryption binaries, without making any changes to the system:
encrypt_config -r -n
