VtShow -- display a previously hidden object

VtShowDialog- display a previously hidden dialog

VtManage- synonym of VtShow

Synopsis

VtShow widgetName [-dialog]
VtShowDialog widgetName

Description

Manages (displays) a previously hidden object. VtShowDialog works similarly to VtShow, but walks up the widget tree to find the dialog to display.

Options


-dialog
Displays the entire dialog in which the widget resides.

Return values

If VtShow fails, it returns one of the following error messages:

NO_WIDGET
no widget corresponding to widgetName given

NOT_OPTION
option is not valid for this widget

OPTION_COUNT
too many or too few options specified

Notices

VtShowDialog is provided for backward compatibility. Use VtShow -dialog to accomplish the same task.

In character mode, the command VtShow CHARM_KEY_HELP will display a help screen describing the most useful character mode key bindings.
