ismpx -- determine whether this is a multiprocessor configuration

Synopsis

   int ismpx(void);

Description

ismpx( ) reports whether this is a multiprocessor configuration and, if so, how many CPUs are configured.

Arguments

None

Return values

Returns the number of configured CPUs for multiprocessor configurations or 0 for uniprocessor configurations.

Usage

ismpx( ) is often used as a boolean, where a non-zero return indicates that this is a multiprocessor configuration and a zero return value indicates that this is a uniprocessor configuration.
