Configuring PPP authentication

Using the PPP Outgoing Connection Wizard, you can enter names and secrets that the service provider will use to authenticate your connection if required:


Authentication Protocol
Select None, CHAP, PAP, or CHAP and PAP to allow the use of either CHAP or PAP authentication.

Local authentication name
Enter the name that the service provider expects to authenticate.

CHAP secret
If required, enter the secret that the service provider will use for CHAP authentication.

PAP password
If required, enter the password that the service provider will use for PAP authentication.
