Managing Hot Plugable controllers

Adding a new driver

You can only add (bind) a driver to a controller if the controller is inserted in a slot, and the slot is powered on.

To add a new driver, select a device, then select Operations -> Add Driver .

The Hot Plug Manager then displays a list of drivers. Select the driver that is appropriate for the selected device. If the driver you need is not in the list, or if you get a message indicating that the driver is not loaded, the driver is not installed on your system.

If the required device driver is not available, you need to add it to your system. See ``Preparing to add or replace a controller''.
