Managing Hot Plugable controllers

Turning slot power on

If your machine has slot interlocks, the interlock for a slot must be locked before the slot can be powered on.

To turn power on for a slot, select the slot, then select Operations -> Power On .

When a slot containing a hot plugable controller is successfully powered on, the Power indicator turns green, and a device icon appears above the slot icon along with a brief description of the controller. Inside the machine, the power LED next to the slot turns on (if your machine has one).

NOTE: You can use Options -> Preferences to enable a confirmation dialog before powering on, or to inform you if you are attempting to power on an empty slot.
