Configuring LAN connections

Removing a network configuration

Remove a complete network adapter configuration using the Network Configuration Manager:

  1. Select the network adapter to be removed, then select Hardware -> Remove network device.

  2. When the Remove window appears, click OK to remove the displayed network system.

NOTE: If you are removing protocols that are associated with other network configurations, the network driver you remove is disassociated from that protocol. Other instances of the protocol in network systems are unaffected.

If you have added or removed a network adapter from your hardware configuration using the Network Configuration Manager, you must stop and re-start sendmail(1M) in the case where the manager does not ask you to reboot the system. You may do so by executing the following commands:

/etc/mail/sendmailrc stop
/etc/mail/sendmailrc start
