The Intranet Management System

Starting up IMS

Once installed, you can start up the IMS graphical interface by logging in as root, and typing

scoadmin intranet

The first time that IMS is run, a nodes database is created for the reachable nodes on the local subnet. This becomes the default nodes database for the first and subsequent IMS sessions. Entries are displayed on the IMS main screen according to an alphabetical ordering of nodes. If no nodes are located, an error message is displayed that requests a check of network connectivity.
