SCOadmin architectural overview
The SCOadmin environment consists of three key technologies:
-
SCO Visual Tcl
- an extension to the Tcl scripting language which
provides the capability to write user interfaces for both
character and graphical environments.

-
The SCOadmin services library
- which augments SCO Visual Tcl with tools for creating user interfaces
that conform to a similar standard.

-
The SCOadmin framework
- which provides networked, object-based programming
capabilities and support for other common programming services
such as error handling and internationalization of messages.

-
SCOadmin development tools
- which help you implement a SCOadmin manager.

-
The wizard framework
- which provides the capability to build simple page-based scripts
that perform single-purpose system adminstration tasks.
