Automating tasks with shell scripts

Each shell has its own set of commands that you can use in shell scripts. These commands are described in the manual reference pages for each shell, for each shell, csh(1), ksh(1), and sh(1).

In addition, there are other special tools and facilities for use in shell scripts, including:

• sed

• awk

• Regular expressions

• Developing Visual Tcl applications
