UDI Overview and Configuration

Installing UDI drivers

Installing a UDI driver is a two-step process:

  1. Install the package containing the UDI driver package using pkgadd, as in:
       pkgadd -d path pkgname

where path is the full path to the directory containing the package, or the package datastream, and pkgname is the name of the package containing the UDI driver.

  2. Install and configure the UDI driver into the kernel using udisetup(1M).
