Intro -- introduction to the Tools Command Language (Tcl)

Description

The Tool Command Language (Tcl) is a simple scripting language that enables you to write graphical applications for the X windows environment.

The (1tcl) commands provide:

file i/o commands
process management commands
flow of control commands
string manipulation commands
list handling commands
error handling commands
math commands

The (1tcl) commands make up the basic component of SCO Visual Tcl, a superset of Tcl commands which provide additional functionality such as widget creation and manipulation commands, drawn list commands, and connection handling commands. Diagnostics

Diagnostics are shown on each of the manual pages. In addition, ``SCO Visual Tcl interpreter errors'' in Developing Visual Tcl applications provides a complete list of error codes.
