Terminology for graphics driver writers

Compiling graphics drivers

Graphics drivers are compiled using the native compiler for the operating system. Other compilers such as GCC that can be used for compiling user-level applications on the system should not be used for compiling drivers.

The NFB interface is accompanied by an X Link Kit that provides tools to simplify the process of compiling and linking graphics drivers; see ``Compile driver template'' for more information.
