Notifying clients about the new server

To notify clients that a new slave server has been added to the domain, perform the following procedure on each client who will use the new slave server:

NOTE: If broadcasting is being used, you do not need to perform the notification procedure for any clients on the same subnet as the new slave server. See ``Setting up NIS clients for broadcasting''.

Log in as the network administrator or the local administrator.
Edit /var/yp/binding/domainname/ypservers and add the new slave server's name to the list of servers.
